NX CAE Symposium 2012 – revving up

After numerous afternoon presentations that included JPL, Baker Hughes, AMD, and Siemens PLM Software, attendees were given the rare opportunity to tour the private car collection of Rick Hendrick.  The museum, located on-site at the Hendrick Motorsports campus, is quite simply remarkable.  Over 150 automobiles are featured – most of the classic Chevrolet models with a few contemporary models, and European sportscars added for good measure.

The excitement was far from over.  We ended the evening with a visit to the Charlotte Motor Speedway for an evening reception and once in a lifetime opportunity to ride along on the speedway with a professional driver.  Needless to say, almost everyone signed up to experience the acceleration and gee forces of the stock car ride along.
