Announcing Femap 10.1
Today we announced Femap 10.1. I thought a little history lesson would be interesting before we get into the nitty gritty details about the release.
For those of you that don’t know, Femap, a PC-based CAE modeling solution, has been around since 1985 when it was founded by George Rudy. George still works for us in our Exton, PA office where most of the development for Femap is based. Originally, Femap was a pre-processor only for MSC/PAL and MSC/NASTRAN on 64k RAM. Since 1985 there have been more than 30 releases of FEMAP with only one major architecture change (DOS to Windows).
30 releases and 24 years later, Femap 10.1 adds new functionality in model visualization and post processing. We have created a series of eight videos that we will share over the coming weeks on Femap 10.1 with you.
The first video is Multi-Group Display.
The Femap grouping functionality now supports interactive group selection to control visibility of groups and their associated contents, and you can also create combined groups on the fly. See how you can gain greater control of group display for your models.
note: All the Femap 10.1 videos can be seen on the Femap site.
