Smart manufacturing today – and well into the future. How Deloitte and Siemens are shaping what’s next

This year’s Hannover Messe was quite the show. Lots of great topics. Lots of great technology. And engaging conversations everywhere you turned.

Of course, the technology presentations on the big stage were a big draw. One presentation in particular caught the attention and intrigue of attendees. It was the joint effort by Siemens and Deloitte that talked about smart manufacturing: “The software-defined factory: Accelerate the future of smart manufacturing with Siemens and Deloitte.”

Watch this joint presentation now.

Daniela Stederoth of Siemens and Tim Gauss of Deloitte take the stage.

Topics discussed

So what makes this talk stand out? The presenters, Tim Gauss of Deloitte and Daniela Stederoth of Siemens, focus on what it means to have a software-defined factory. Some of this you might already know. But what’s really interesting are the breakthroughs we see in the industrial metaverse and industrial AI. How our strategic alliance with Deloitte, along with our Siemens Xcelerator have the means to propel digital transformation of manufacturing and operations forward.

What’s the latest on the edge? What’s going on inside those grey boxes? And how are
today’s customers using AI on the shop floor? Just a few of the topics discussed in

this presentation.

One rather exciting development covered in the talk: Deloitte, with Siemens as a key partner, has launched globally dispersed Smart Factories. These immersive environments allow customers to experience the industrial metaverse firsthand—blending the physical and virtual worlds to solve real business challenges.
