Pat and team are on the ground in the United Kingdom this week for the 2012 Farnborough International Airshow.

After many months of preparation it’s finally here!

We at Siemens are looking forward to seeing all our current customers as well as new ones in our chalet A32-33. This week will offer our visitors many exciting. Some of the things that we are personally very proud to present at this year’s Farnborough airshow is the fact that on Tuesday, 10th of July, the NASA Director of the Mars Exploration Program Doug McCuistion and Siemens Industry Sector CEO Siegfried Russwurm are going to be meeting to discuss the new era of space travel and exploration and how Siemens Industry is contributing solutions for this new frontier. For now, you can read how NX is currently used to meet thermal challenges at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Labratory.

Wednesday evening Siemens welcomes the attendees to our India night reception where we will host key guests from the Indian aerospace and defense industry. Make sure to watch the recent video from the Siemens PLM India team of our own Tim Nichols, who shared his views on the emerging trends in the global Aerospace, Defense and Shipbuilding industries.

And finally on Friday, we are especially proud to host military Veterans and their families for Veterans Appreciation Day. Thirty people from the Royal Air Force (RAF) Odiham and RAF Mildenahll air bases have been invited to join us for an appreciation lunch and the air show view during Jubilee Day 13th July. It is going to be a very special day and we are looking forward to having a great time with our guests.

These events pared with the chance to see all new, as well as, classic airplanes performing in the skies above Farnborough will needless to say make this a very exciting week.

The Farnborough Airshow Siemens team is looking forward to seeing everyone here.
