Embedded Live!

We have just passed the equinox, so Autumn [or Fall, if you prefer] is upon us. We had quite a good Summer here in the UK, but now that is fast becoming a distant memory. For me, the acceptance that Summer is over is also the sign that the conference season is looming. Most significant conferences take place between September and June. So, I am just preparing for the first outing …

My first conference this year is unusual in that I have never been to it before – simply because this is its first year – and I do not need to get on an airplane, as it takes place in a city close to where I live. The conference is Embedded Live 2018 and it will be held at the National Exhibition Centre, Birmingham, UK. The event is over two days – Tuesday and Wednesday this week.

My presentation [at 09:30 on Wednesday] is Operating Systems for Embedded Applications, which is a broad look at how operating systems work and how they fit into the design of an embedded software application.
