What’s New in PADS Professional VX.2.6: Plated Edge Support

With the newest update of PADS Professional VX.2.6 users can extend planes beyond the route border with the intent of applying edge plating to their designs.

Plane shapes that were drawn extending over the route border were automatically trimmed in previous versions, but in PADS Professional VX.2.6, this method has become optional. After creating a plane extending over the route border, the properties window will show an option for “Ignore Route Border”. Toggling this on or off will allow for more user control over the drawn plane.
