Siemens, AWS and the industrial AI revolution – alive and thriving at Hannover Messe 2026

Arriving at Hannover Messe 2026 after the huge success at this year’s CES, one could only imagine what the Siemens and AWS collaboration was up to next.

The excitement… The anticipation… The frenzy to see the latest AI advancements from two industry leaders was palpable to say the least.

It’s no surprise that we are breaking new ground in industrial AI, digital twin technology, the industrial metaverse, smart manufacturing, robotics and so much more. The collaboration between Siemens and AWS was ahead of the curve back before AI exploded onto the scene and today, we are leading the way in a number of proven and promising AI technologies – with the goal of making our customers more competitive, innovative, productive and just as important, more sustainable.

Join Siemens’ CEO Dr. Roland Busch as he walks the floor

At the show Roland emphasized Siemens’ new industrial AI offerings and our projects involving autonomous robotics. Roland emphasized the importance of new technologies that can make supply chains and logistics processes more resilient.

A particular focus of this year’s show was the consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry. Roland was especially proud of Simens involvement in U.S. food manufacturers Pringles and PepsiCo. Attendees got to see firsthand how these two companies can now launch their products faster and more reliably by digitalizing their value chains using the latest industrial AI.

One example, the collaboration has combined Siemens Industrial Edge and Mendix (a Siemens company) with AWS services such as Amazon SageMaker and Amazon Bedrock – to bring closed-loop intelligence and rapid app development to the factory floor.

…Having fun with Cedrik

Cedrik Neike, member of the managing board of Siemens AG and CEO of Siemens Digital Industries, was non-stop energy at the show. One of his prime objectives is to talk about how Siemens’ industrial AI offerings are redefining the factory floor.

A key topic is the AI-driven factory Siemens is developing with partners in Erlangen, Germany, which demonstrates how physical AI can automate complex, unpredictable tasks. One of the world’s first fully AI-driven, adaptive manufacturing sites.

Cedrik and team witness how autonomous mobile robots (AMRs), collaborative robots (cobots) and even humanoid robots collaborate in real time on AWS architecture.

On display this year was proof that Siemens is a global leader in industrial software, automation and industrial AI. We are at the forefront of combining the real and the digital worlds across product and production lifecycles including supply chains.

Coming off the huge success at this year’s CES, the Siemens and AWS collaboration put on a show within a show at HM 26.
