Transforming the future workforce with collaborations in Vietnam
The academic environment is witnessing remarkable growth and development across Vietnam. Fueled by strategic collaborations with the Hanoi University of Industry, SHTP Saigon and NIC Hanoi, Siemens Digital Industries Software aims to help develop talent and encourage innovation across various industries.
About the HaUI and Siemens collaboration
This past January marked a milestone for both Siemens Digital Industries Software and Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI) in Vietnam, where a MoU was signed with HaUI for adopting Siemens as a technology partner. Established in 1898, HaUI boasts a student body of over 30,000 undergraduates and a distinguished history in engineering education. HaUI will be able to utilize Siemens’ experience and technology solutions in the development of its Digital Labs and human resource training.
The team also went on a tour of the Smart Factory Research Center, which provided them with a firsthand look at Siemens’ state-of-the-art technologies and offered a glimpse into the tools shaping the industries of tomorrow. This immersive exposure will equip the students with the digital fluency necessary to emerge as future industrial frontrunners. Overall, the collaboration between Siemens and HaUI marks a significant step towards cultivating Vietnam’s next wave of innovators and propelling the nation’s success in the evolving technological industry.
Electronic Design Automation involvement with SHTP Saigon and NIC Hanoi
Two more collaborations saw the signing of a MoU earlier this year.
In April, Siemens Digital Industries Software partnered with Saigon Hi-Tech Park to enhance talent and workforce development in the semiconductor industry. This collaboration combines Siemens EDA software portfolio with training courses in Integrated Circuit (IC) and printed circuit board (PCB) design, leveraging Saigon Hi-Tech Park’s expertise in semiconductor industry training. The aim is to equip students with advanced EDA technologies for semiconductor circuit design, promoting practical experience and enhancing the operational capacity of the Electronic and Semiconductor Training Center.
“Siemens’ technologies empower customers to transform their industries and lead the market while supporting the development of human resources for industries, especially the semiconductor industry.” – Nina Lin, Vice President and General Manager of Southeast Asia, EDA, Siemens Digital Industries Software
In February, Siemens Digital Industries Software announced its partnership with the National Innovation Center (NIC). As part of this collaboration, Siemens offers a comprehensive suite of EDA technology solutions tailored for semiconductor chip and circuit board design. These solutions, utilizing AI, enable businesses to develop more intricate and intelligent electronic products at an accelerated pace. By addressing human resources challenges, Siemens and their EDA solutions aim to support Vietnam’s goal of reaching 50,000 semiconductor engineers by 2030.
