Oakland University prepares students for Industry 4.0

With a focus on education for the digital age, Oakland University introduced PLM tools in several of their courses. Plant Simulation, Jack, Process Simulate and Teamcenter software, training and support were integrated into existing courses to share the latest tools and techniques from real-world applications. The goal is to provide companies with highly skilled graduates – the next generation of STEM students.

“As a student, I used Plant Simulation to create a computer simulation to study the flow of patients in a local hospital’s emergency room. A company learning about my project on LinkedIn cold-called me for an interview, and they gave me a job offer the same day in their simulation group,”
