WaveLight is better able to handle complex application development systems with Polarion
WaveLight, a German subsidiary of the U.S. Alcon Group, develops and produces modern medical diagnostic and surgical technology for the correction of refractive errors. In this short video presentation (in German with English titles), Werner Motzet of WaveLight GmbH talks about the many benefits Polarion brings to his company.
Using Polarion solutions, we are better able to handle the product development process end-to-end, including all documents needed in our complex and cross-linked development systems. Major benefits for us include the automated traceability, impact analysis and suspect link traces fully unified with change and version management. The biggest benefit for WaveLight is the ease of reuse (of artifacts such as Requirements) across different projects.
Polarion’s Professional Services helped us adapt the solution to our specific process. During the implementation phase, the ease of use and ease of administration were extremely helpful. These strengths netted us a very high user acceptance from the start, and enabled us to migrate our users faster than initially planned. An additional benefit here was the highly productive import functions (for existing assets).
