Opcenter Execution Discrete 2407 can be installed directly or as an update. This release includes:

Opcenter Execution Discrete 2407 will run on a completely renewed technological stack, including:
- .NET 8
- Entity Framework Core 8
This significant technological upgrade will bring benefits in increased runtime performances and development productivity in Project Studio; it is also an important step bringing Opcenter Execution Discrete closer to being operating system agnostic

Adoption of New .NET Technological Stack
As of 2407, Opcenter Execution Foundation adopts the new .NET technological stack. The new .NET technological stack uses Entity Framework Core for database access and entity management.
Compatibility and Configuration
All Opcenter Execution Discrete solutions are recompiled in .NET Standard and validated to be run on .NET new technological stack.
To preserve compatibility, at runtime you can let your backend be executed by either a .NET Framework Worker or by a .NET Worker. When post setup is running on fresh installation is possible to configure which worker will be used.
