Immersive Design Review in Virtual Reality With NX
Virtual Reality is not widely known for design. Rather, you hear about Virtual Reality in terms of video gaming or other entertainment-like avenues. We would like to change that mindset – at least for all of us NX users. We are pleased to announce that in our latest release of NX 12.0.2, immersive design review with virtual reality became a reality in the CAD space. This opens up a whole new world…
Originally shown to the public one year ago, virtual reality in NX allows users to review their design from a whole new perspective. Allowing them to interact with parts, modify, measure, section parts, and ultimately see the digital twin in its full scale. You have a direct connection to the NX session with no data export. One button click is all it takes to get into the virtual world. Pretty cool stuff!
A few months ago, beta users for the latest release of NX were able to try VR and give their opinions. Take a look below for some of their thoughts.
Virtual Reality Design Review takes the realism of your designs to a whole new level with an integrated, immersive 3D environment for inspection and design reviews. With a single button click to VR, you will have a streamlined workflow giving you a much better understanding and communication of digital twin with an immersive 3D environment by your side. This will mean fewer analysis cycles, with a faster product to the market.
