Networking about Digital Manufacturing
From my discussions with customers, I’ve learned that digital manufacturing helps them to improve their productivity during the planning process and on the shop floor. Most customers use a step-by-step approach when starting with digital manufacturing – or the digital factory as it is sometimes called. In many of my discussions, people have asked about others that are using digital manufacturing tools and how they might exchange information and learn about their experiences. There is a great symposium coming up during September this year, which will help those interested in digital manufacturing to exchange experiences and network with others that have similar interests – it’s the Digital Manufacturing Symposium. The symposium is co-located this year with IMTS in Chicago, IL – at McCormick Place on September 15-16, 2010.
The Digital Manufacturing Symposium is a free event. It is conveniently located near the IMTS industry conferences in the West Building of McCormick Place in room 196.
Great companies like Honda of America, The Boeing Company, Volkswagen do Brazil Ltda., and others are expected to discuss their success and experiences while using digital manufacturing solutions and how these tools improve productivity.
The Keynote speaker is Aric Newhouse, Senior Vice President of government relations and policy with the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM), and former chief of staff for Senator George V. Voinovich of Ohio. He will discuss the future of manufacturing in the United States and the importance of productivity and efficiency.
It’s easy to join the event, just register here.
BTW: the first 250 registrants will receive free admission to the IMTS exhibits. Just register today.
