Innovation in Asia Pacific
– Report by Molly Hwa
Last week, we held our annual Asia Pacific Executive Client Event (APECE) in Singapore. Nominees of the APECE Innovation Awards shared lots of innovation inspiration. It was great to see many familiar and smiling faces from attendees.
Attendees included 55 seniors executives, from 50 top companies from the Asia Pacific region, who participated in this two-day event, including one-on-one executive meetings.
A highlight of the event was awarding Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. with the 2011 Asia Pacific Innovation Award. The award is presented to a customer in Asia that has achieved exceptional business success through the use of PLM technology.
We also recognized first runner-up Midea Air-conditioning & Refrigeration Group and second runner-up Shenyang Liming Aero-Engine (Group) Co. Ltd. for their outstanding submissions.
Below are more video highlights from speakers at the event.
The event featured a presentation by Dr. Christopher Holmes of IDC Manufacturing Insights on industry trends and a top 10 prediction for the Asia Pacfic region. Chris shares his thoughts on the event and Innovation Award participants.
Steve Nevey, relationship manager at Red Bull Racing, also spoke at the conference and notes the importance of PLM to the design of the championship winning Red Bull Racing car. (If you want to hear more from Steve, check out this interview from PLM Connection).
