Driving Sustainability into the Innovation Process

Siemens is moderating a panel discussion at the upcoming GMA-FMI Sustainability Summit in the Washington DC area December 6-9. If you have not yet registered for this event, you’ll want to consider doing so. The event brings together retailers, manufacturers, government and advocacy groups around the common goal of environmentally responsible business practices. The agenda is packed with great session topics and speakers.


The Siemens session on Tuesday is entitled “Driving Sustainability into the Innovation Process”, and we have an awesome panel of experts. Check out the credentials of our panelists:



Bill Morrissey, VP-Sustainability, The Clorox Company


Bill is a CPG veteran with over 25 years of experience in a variety of marketing, business development, strategic planning and general management roles. Prior to his current assignment, Bill was COO of Naturize BioSciences Inc. He recently returned to his prior company, The Clorox Company, and now leads their environmental efforts as Clorox’s VP of Environmental Sustainability. In this role, he and his Eco Office team are responsible for the development and execution of Clorox’s Eco strategy and plans.


Judith Hochhauser Schneider, Global Manager, Environmental Markets & Sustainability, DuPont


Judith has over 14 years of experience in environmental sustainability and marketing across corporate, nonprofit and entrepreneurial sectors. In her current role as Global Manager, Environmental Markets & Sustainability for DuPont Corporation, she works with all the businesses within the corporation to implement their sustainability strategies and positioning plans in a broad range of industries. Working at the corporate level, she leads the integration of sustainability into Marketing and Corporate Strategy functions. Judith also leads the company’s carbon trading efforts in the US and in Europe.


Alison Taylor,Vice President, Sustainability-Americas, Siemens Corporation


Alison Taylor is Vice President, Sustainability-Americas, and in this position, she is responsible for driving the sustainability program for the Americas and acting as a resource for sustainability initiatives across Siemens’ business sectors. 


Prior to joining Siemens, Ms. Taylor was Chief Counsel to the U.S. Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works for five years, and counsel to the U.S. House Committee on Energy and Commerce for six years.  Ms. Taylor has been a member of the U.S. delegation to United Nations conferences on Climate Change, Biodiversity, Sustainability and Ozone Layer Depletion.
