U2U India: A Summary
On Feb 21, 2019, Mentor, a Siemens Business hosted User 2 User (U2U) India, the largest user conference in India. The conference, held in Bengaluru, featured keynotes from Wally Rhines, CEO Emeritus of Mentor, a Siemens Business, and Raja Manickam, Founder & CEO of Tessolve Semiconductors. U2U is a highly interactive user conference featuring in-depth technical content that focuses on the real-world experiences of engineers using Mentor’s tools to design leading-edge technology products.
Rhines’ keynote focused on the acceleration of design activity in the semiconductor industry, followed by Raja Manickam’s keynote on system level test. Ruchir Dixit, Technical Director for Mentor, a Siemens Business, presented about popular trends in the semiconductor industry, primarily focusing on artificial intelligence and machine learning. G.S. Madhusudhan, CEO & Co-founder, InCore Semiconductors also gave a technical presentation on Shakti processors.
U2U India offered attendees the opportunity to interact directly with other technology experts from the industry. Technical presentations from Intel, Qualcomm, Broadcom, Keysight, Rambus, AMD, Honeywell, Microchip, STMicroelectronics, Siliconch, and Ampere provided attendees with interesting, insightful, and extremely useful information. This interaction between users of Mentor Graphics software is the core of the event. Through discussion and collaboration, attendees gained valuable insight into functional verification, emulation, silicon test, physical verification, system design, and analog/mixed-signal design. Attendees left the show with knowledge and experiences that will aid them in the performance of their jobs.
