At Siemens Cre8Ventures, we continue to expand our partnerships to empower semiconductor and photonics innovators. Our digital twin marketplace is designed to help startups bridge the gap between lab-based innovations and real-world applications by simulating the entire development process in a virtual environment.

Our marketplace will support our cohorts as they advance from proof-of-technology to proof-of-concept and beyond. In this pursuit, we are excited to announce that Wave Photonics is joining our initiative. Wave Photonics, a pioneering startup in integrated photonics and a partner of the University of Southampton Cornerstone innovation hub, brings exceptional photonic design and process development expertise, significantly enhancing our marketplace participants’ capabilities.

Wave Photonics: Unlocking the Potential of Integrated Photonics

Wave Photonics specialises in optimised Process Design Kits (PDKs) and advanced photonic solutions. Their tools enable precise design and optimisation of highly complex photonic integrated circuits (PICs). The ability to perform detailed design analysis, characterisation, and process modelling brings strong synergy to our digital twin marketplace. This partnership enhances our offering to startups working on automotive sensors, telecommunications, quantum technologies, or AI processors by integrating cutting-edge photonics into their solutions.

By pairing Wave Photonics’ tools with our digital twin platform, startups can develop integrated photonic solutions from initial design to physical realisation. This provides them with a comprehensive environment to simulate and refine their designs, helping accelerate their journey to market.
