FREE: AM 101 Introductory Online 3D Printing Class
If you want to learn about 3D printing, here’s your chance!
Since we’ve all been home with extra time on our hands, we decided to put together a small course on additive. This is a very basic course, mostly for people who are new to additive manufacturing.
In Episodes 1 through 4, we cover some basic AM terms, some use cases for 3D printing, the major technologies for plastic and metal printing, prototype printing, and production printing. If you’re an experienced AM user, we did include some content for you as well, but you may want to skip ahead and have a look at Episode 5 which includes some more advanced thinking about additive and what is possible with the technology.
The main goal here is to help people who are new to additive understand the basics of the technology. There is no sales pitch. There are no demonstrations of Siemens software or hardware. This is just a case of us wanting to help as many people as possible learn about this amazing new technology.
So, if you know someone who is interested in additive but doesn’t know where to start, or maybe someone who is looking for a career change, or someone who’s just interested in learning about new technologies, please feel free to point them to this blog post.
Note that the video link below is to a playlist with all six episodes which will play in order. To view a specific episode, please click the icon in the upper-right corner to reveal the playlist episodes.
If there are any subjects you’d like to see us tackle in future episodes, please leave us a comment below. Also, we would love to hear what you think of the series as well. If the reception is good, we can consider adding subsequent episodes.
From all of us at Siemens, thanks for watching! We hope this is useful, and we wish you happy printing!
