Portable Stimulus<\/h3>\n

In June, Accellera<\/a> <\/strong>approved version 1.0 of the Portable Stimulus Standard<\/strong><\/a>.\u00a0 The morning session at Accellera Day India 2018 will be devoted to explore the new standard in two 90 minute periods.\u00a0 The in-depth technical tutorial will focus on a set of typical design use cases from a variety of applications.\u00a0 You will see how to use the new standard to create an abstract model of verification intent.\u00a0 The tutorial will then show how these models can be used to generate scenarios to be executed on the different platforms and environments used in a development process and how the models can be reused and leveraged from project to project.<\/p>\n

The interactive tutorial is geared for both the novice and advanced design and verification engineer.\u00a0 Given the productivity gains possible with Portable Stimulus, this standard is destined to be one of most popular and widely used in the coming years.\u00a0 This is your chance to learn directly from the developers of the standard as you plan your use and adoption of it.<\/p>\n

UVM<\/h3>\n

The Universal Verification Methodology is the mainstay of current verification practice.\u00a0 The world\u2019s foremost instructor and recognized SystemVerilog and UVM guru, Cliff Cummings, will lead the afternoon session on UVM.\u00a0 You will benefit from Cliff\u2019s favorite UVM tips and tricks as he offers clarification and guidelines for UVM messaging and verbosities.\u00a0 Cliff will also explain the origin of the two different techniques to define UVM transactions and execute sequences, including the advantages and disadvantages of each.<\/p>\n
