Last night I had to install a new version of software for my phone.\u00a0Today I read an article on smart manufacturing entitled \u201c<a title=\"Multi-domain software management: A Revolution in the making\" href=\"http:\/\/online.wsj.com\/news\/articles\/SB10001424127887324063304578522812684722382?mg=reno64-wsj&amp;url=http%3A%2F%2Fonline.wsj.com%2Farticle%2FSB10001424127887324063304578522812684722382.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">A Revolution in the making<\/a>\u201d that discussed a software-enabled machine that not only drives the factory floor, but also notifies the manufacturing engineer of a problem.<\/p>\n<p>What does all this have in common?
