Active workspace search capabilities make this easy: enter a keyword and view the results.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Find what you need and then open it. If the object represents an assembly, Active Workspace automatically loads it in a structure view. If you have ever opened this structure, Active Workspace allows you to restore the last used view or configuration of the structure.\u00a0Another option is finding and opening a saved configuration of a structure, such as a snapshot or session.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:15px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">In many cases, the pre-configured structure is just what you need. Sometimes you may want a different, specialized view of the structure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.sw.siemens.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2023\/01\/dsv.png\" alt=\"workspace\" class=\"wp-image-13859\" width=\"1000\" height=\"2\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Configure<strong> <\/strong>the structure<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:15px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">There are plenty of options to configure your view of the structure according to your specific needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:15px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Some questions you may ask yourself:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Want to see the latest released revisions of your parts? <strong>Use a revision rule.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Want to see latest working parts from your group and released parts from other groups?&nbsp;<strong>Revision rules can do that too.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Want to see parts intended to be manufactured as of a particular date? On a particular unit?\u00a0<strong>You can do that with effectivity.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Want to see parts to be used on a certain variant of your product? <strong>Use the variant configuration.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:15px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">This information is shown in the header of the structure view, so easily identify what configuration you are using.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:15px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Display structure data in a table with columns based on the type of data (<strong>design, requirements and more<\/strong>).\u00a0Choose from any of the columns you want to view by picking from a list of saved column arrangements for your task.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.sw.siemens.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2023\/01\/dsv2.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-13861\" width=\"1000\" height=\"250\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Get to work<\/strong> <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:15px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Now that your view of the structure is how you want it, it&#8217;s time swing into action.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:15px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">We have optimized performance over the last few releases so you will be able to view your data quickly.\u00a0Active Workspace has a large toolset to get your job done:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:15px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Want to find something within the structure?<strong><em> <\/em><\/strong>Find and filter with Smart Discovery.\u00a0Choose parts that you own, parts from a particular supplier, or parts in a particular spatial zone.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Want to view your structure in 3D?\u00a0Use the embedded viewer or launch to Teamcenter Visualization.\u00a0Measure, view cross sections and markup.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Want to work on the design? Launch the structure to CAD.\u00a0Open selected or all parts.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Want to understand how this structure relates to others?
