In version 2512, we are delivering two AI-powered solutions to help users create more intelligent, optimized process plans faster.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
An integral part of Teamcenter Copilot, the Easy Plan Manufacturing Planning Assistant<\/strong> captures user intent and converts it into executable process plans. Manufacturing engineers can describe their goals in natural language, while the AI assistant automates basic tasks such as creating the Manufacturing Bill of Materials (MBOM), which lists the items needed for production, and Bill of Process (BOP) structures, which define the manufacturing steps. This streamlines manufacturing planning from productivity and quality standpoints. The Planning Assistant is released in version 2512 for early adopter evaluation, with multiple additional capabilities planned for our subsequent releases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n BOP Builder <\/strong>leverages Generative AI to convert unstructured manufacturing planning data, usually stored as files such as PDFs, into information managed in Teamcenter Manufacturing Easy Plan (a solution for digital planning) or in our Opcenter MOM (Manufacturing Operations Management) portfolio. It automatically creates BOPs by extracting and transforming legacy process data to produce complete BOP structures. This helps accelerate digitalization while standardizing manufacturing plans, reducing data conversion effort, and preserving process knowledge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In the 2512 release, we introduced valuable tools for creating and managing manufacturing BOMs. These tools lower manual effort, streamline change management, and improve overall MBOM accuracy. For example, users can now generate manufacturing representations directly from the Easy Plan BOM Alignment page. This standardizes concurrent MBOM development, keeping it fully aligned with engineering intent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Enhanced partition support streamlines MBOM authoring and management for Manufacturing engineers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n We enhanced Roll-up indicators, which help reconcile differences, further streamlining Engineering Bill of Materials (EBOM) to MBOM reconciliation. Smart Discovery, our intelligent data analysis capability, is now extended to cover MBOM, enabling improved data scoping and filtering and ultimately increasing planning efficiency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n We also introduced Active Change Management in Easy Plan to ensure precise, traceable change control and propagation across engineering domains, so that any modification can be tracked from one system to another. Scoped accountability checks allow engineers to compare only what matters between the EBOM and the MBOM, speeding validation and increasing MBOM accuracy.<\/p>\n\n\n We also shipped new capabilities to improve process planning efficiency and flexibility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Advanced BOP search capabilities, including assignments and find-in functionality, help engineers quickly locate information in complex process structures. We also extended the solution with key capabilities for Composite Manufacturing planning – an important workflow for our Aerospace and Defense customers. Easy Plan now features detailed process planning capabilities for composite manufacturing, including ply (individual layers) and laminate (combined layers) operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The multi-level sequence view improves visibility into manufacturing sequences at all hierarchy levels. Parameter support enhances traceability and control. It allows users to define and manage key parameters for processes and operations in one place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Quality planners can now generate a PFMEA (Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) directly from the BOP. Inspection definitions are created based on assigned assembly PMIs (Product Manufacturing Information), streamlining quality planning processes. Change management provides visibility into changes in quality requirements alongside manufacturing processes and ensures that quality and manufacturing planning remain fully consistent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n We also improved our time management and line-balancing apps with new authoring capabilities, enabling streamlined collaboration across Manufacturing and Industrial Engineering departments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n We also significantly enhanced recipe authoring capabilities to enable tech transfer in the process manufacturing industry–production in which products are made by combining raw materials or ingredients. The solution helps users transform general and site recipes into master recipes while managing process parameters, the variables that control production. By doing so, we help our Pharma and Consumer Package Goods customers standardize processes and simplify recipe management across the organization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n A dedicated app supports efficient authoring and navigation of complex recipe flows. Change tracking with notifications helps ensure changes are visible and effectively managed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n We continued our investment in work instruction authoring and consumption, introducing several key capabilities. Offline EWI<\/strong> (Electronic Work Instructions) capability ensures build instructions remain available even without network connectivity. Operators–factory employees that assemble products, can view and execute complex assembly tasks from remote locations. Updates to work instructions automatically synchronize when network connectivity is restored.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Last, Easy Plan is now integrated with TeamViewer Spatial Editor, a tool for editing spatial content, allowing customers to build Augmented Reality (AR) work instructions to support manufacturing execution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Teamcenter Easy Plan 2512 release delivers solid improvements to our manufacturing and simulation solution.
