What’s New in Solid Edge 2022?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Let’s take a look at some of the most exciting new features and enhancements included in this release.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Create new design iterations at the click of a button with the new Solid Edge Design Configurator.<\/strong> <\/h4>\n\n\n\n

This software is a design automation application that adds rule-based automation to your familiar Solid Edge environment. It enables the quick customization of products based on design parameters and rules. Rule-based automation can boost productivity and design speed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Experience 2.5 axis milling, now included with Solid Edge Classic, Foundation and Premium subscriptions for customers on active maintenance.<\/strong> <\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Fully integrated with Solid Edge, CAM Pro 2.5 axis milling allows users to maintain full associativity with design data, while instilling confidence with automated tool path creation and visualizations for optimized machining processes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Seamlessly integrate CAD geometry using CAD Direct, a new built-in 3D design capability that improves productivity when working with geometry from popular CAD systems.<\/strong> <\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Files may be inserted into a Solid Edge assembly without needing translation, maintaining associativity. Data stays within the 3D design assembly file, preventing prevents data duplication and allowing inserted geometry to be used downstream.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Collaborate with colleagues, partners and customers using Teamcenter Share.\u00a0<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

This next-generation, cloud-based collaboration solution uses design-centric tools such as 3D and 2D CAD view and markup, augmented reality, virtual prototyping, secure project-based sharing and more. You can work from anywhere with browser-based access. No additional IT infrastructure is required. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Visualize designs in the context of real-world environments.<\/strong> <\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Full-color point cloud visualization for assemblies give you confidence in positioning new equipment in a setting, especially useful when retrofitting factories or plants. Solid Edge assembly measurement and viewing tools can be used to position and design equipment in the context of point clouds. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Solid Edge puts you at the top of your game with orders-of-magnitude performance improvements in large assembly modeling for the third straight year.<\/strong> <\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Assembly preview open allows users to enter a preview mode, reducing the amount of data that loads upon open. Multi-body assembly modeling mode is a new environment to model internal components within an assembly file. And, a new component finder puts intuitive search of assembly components at your fingers with auto-complete suggestive filters. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Leverage b-rep and mesh geometries in the same model without having to convert anything. <\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Removing the need to convert geometries in order for them to work together reduces model development time.  These unique hybrid model capabilities allow b-rep and mesh geometries to coexist in the same model. [image] <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Reinvent the wheel with an industry-unique radiate command that enables effortless editing of the radii of circles in part models.<\/strong> <\/h4>\n\n\n\n

This new synchronous technology capability allows satellite faces to move radially as an operation is performed, while maintaining design intent. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Generate a clear view of your design data with new built-in customized reports for Solid Edge.<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Dynamic Visualization provides dynamic methods for viewing and sorting of assembly parts and components. The visual reports are built on rules that are easily created with Excel-like filters within interactive tables. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Accelerate the speed of simulation using new automated mesh generation processes that provide high-quality mesh with minimum effort.<\/strong> <\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The new Body Mesh in Solid Edge Simulation controls mesh without the need for parameters. Simulation display performance is up to 10x faster than before. And, the new hydrostatic pressure load type determines the maximum and minimum pressure exerted by a fluid at equilibrium due to the effect of gravity. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Improve the flow of piping system design with Simcenter Flomaster for Solid Edge, which allows users to easily model and analyze the fluid and thermal flows in their piping systems. <\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

It automatically extracts 3D geometries to generate system-level models, cutting the time required to build a simulation model up to 90%. This product is easy enough for novice users thanks to built-in wizards but includes advanced capabilities for simulation experts. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
