At ASICS, simulation software is used as a decision-making tool to guide product development. ASICS states that the use of CAE software provides special insight on the design of a shoe\u2019s sole, enabling important decision making data to be captured in the early phases of development. ASICS uses Femap with NX Nastran and has been able to reduce product development time and turnaround by 30 to 35 percent.<\/P><br \/>\n<P><BR \/>Also, reducing CO2 emissions is becoming an important issue at the corporate level with ASICS as well as most manufacturers today. ASICS finds that the use of simulation plays a crucial role here as well.
