The event was co-hosted with Siemens channel partner <a href=\"http:\/\/appliedcax.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">Applied CAx<\/A>. The main focus topics included best practices for analysis efficiency for aerospace simulation engineers and aerospace suppliers.<\/P><\/p>\n<p><P><span class=\"lia-inline-image-display-wrapper lia-image-align-inline\" style=\"width: 500px;\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/siemensplm.i.lithium.com\/t5\/image\/serverpage\/image-id\/16144i32CE51BD9BD49FA6\/image-size\/large?v=1.0&amp;px=999\" alt=\"Femap Symposium 2015 Seattle WA\" title=\"Femap Symposium 2015 Seattle WA\" \/><\/span><\/P><\/p>\n<p><P>The afternoon proceedings commenced with a review of the latest Femap functionality and roadmap by Mark Sherman, director of Femap development.<\/P><\/p>\n<p><P><span class=\"lia-inline-image-display-wrapper lia-image-align-inline\" style=\"width: 500px;\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/siemensplm.i.lithium.com\/t5\/image\/serverpage\/image-id\/16145iEC405C29925B3187\/image-size\/large?v=1.0&amp;px=999\" alt=\"Femap Symposium 2015 Seattle WA\" title=\"Femap Symposium 2015 Seattle WA\" \/><\/span><\/P><\/p>\n<p><P>Ian Won from the Federal Aviation Administration presented Finite Element Modeling and Analyiss Validation, highlighting Federal Aviation Regulation requirements for a validated finite element analysis and identified acceptable means of validating FEA results that are compliant with related structural FARs.<\/P><\/p>\n<p><P><span class=\"lia-inline-image-display-wrapper lia-image-align-inline\" style=\"width: 500px;\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/siemensplm.i.lithium.com\/t5\/image\/serverpage\/image-id\/16146i191486CED1B0CEAD\/image-size\/large?v=1.0&amp;px=999\" alt=\"Femap Symposium 2015 Seattle WA\" title=\"Femap Symposium 2015 Seattle WA\" \/><\/span><\/P><\/p>\n<p><P>Joe Brackin, senior software engineer with the Femap development group, showed how you can improve NX Nastran performance through efficient use of hardware and fine tuning the NX Nastran solver to make the most of available memory and available processors.<\/P><\/p>\n<p><P><span class=\"lia-inline-image-display-wrapper lia-image-align-inline\" style=\"width: 500px;\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/siemensplm.i.lithium.com\/t5\/image\/serverpage\/image-id\/16147iADA02862BBA06F22\/image-size\/large?v=1.0&amp;px=999\" alt=\"Femap Symposium 2015 Seattle WA\" title=\"Femap Symposium 2015 Seattle WA\" \/><\/span><\/P><\/p>\n<p><P>Finally, George Laird, principal mechanical engineer at Siemens channel partner Applied CAx, presented Femap and NX Nastran modeling and best practices.<\/P><\/p>\n<p><P><span class=\"lia-inline-image-display-wrapper lia-image-align-inline\" style=\"width: 500px;\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/siemensplm.i.lithium.com\/t5\/image\/serverpage\/image-id\/16148i14F0F34333E458A4\/image-size\/large?v=1.0&amp;px=999\" alt=\"Femap Symposium 2015 Seattle WA\" title=\"Femap Symposium 2015 Seattle WA\" \/><\/span><\/P><\/p>\n<p><P>Our thanks to Applied CAx for co-hosting and helping to make this well \u2013attended event such a success.
