Last month I failed, and for that I am sorry but I did in the name of good content, or at least I hope I did. Yesterday I spent the day with simulation engineers at Hotel Van der Valk in Eindhoven. Where the hosts had assembled an energizing mix of Siemens insights and refreshingly practical customer stories. From benchmarking Simcenter 3D in a real verification environment to speeding up structural work and improving workflows with automation, the common thread was clear: simulation is moving upstream, becoming a faster, earlier, and more decisive part of product development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To give you some idea fo what the day included I created a blog to share the highlights that stuck with me most, such as: what teams at ASML, Daikin, and Kinetron are doing today, plus a look at where things are heading with AI\/ML and tighter end-to-end workflows, find out more in the Conference<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Simcenter and Altair each had their merits, both in and out of the products that they produce. While Simcenter tends to focus on its highlevel <a href=\"https:\/\/events.sw.siemens.com\/en-US\/realizelive\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Realize Live<\/a> conference, I have heard good things about the old Altair Technology Conference and it seems I was not the only one. Siemens have taken it on and plastered their name on it. Along with the student edition that was discussed in last month&#8217;s edition, I have spent a long time waiting to play with these toys. If you have a workflow that requires both Simcenter Star CCM+ and Simcenter 3D, in the past, the license for one would sit idle while you worked in the other.
