Game on!

With one of the largest sports events ending this month, all eyes are still on the athletes who give their best performance and strive for the gold, silver, or bronze medals. But after this exhilarating season of international sports, we thought we could slightly extend this sportive buzz and take it to an engineering level, by showcasing some unique sports models created by Simcenter Amesim. We are well-known for our advanced and precise simulations, but we also appreciate a touch of the unexpected!

Score more goals with Simcenter Amesim

Our first model is the dedicated Simcenter Amesim Football library. Although it’s not an official product, we developed this functionality, including the ‘player resizing tool’ and the ‘track generator’, during the 2018 World Cup. Read further about this unique feature in its dedicated blog.

Simulate the perfect tennis serve with Simcenter Amesim

Next, we present a tennis racket model made in Simcenter Amesim. Our partner, BSIM Engineering, developed this special model to simulate the perfect tennis serve and predict its ball speed, trajectory, and spin. In this blog, they explain how they made it.

Break world records with the Simcenter Amesim hammer throw

Although the ‘hammer’ is not an actual hammer but a metal ball, we can quickly create a Simcenter Amesim model to represent the motion and the throw of this mass. From there it’s easy to play with the right variables to launch the hammer towards a world-record distance.

The Simcenter Amesim longbow

Lastly, we introduce our archery bow model, created by using the standard components in the Simcenter Amesim libraries. This model predicts how strong you must pull to shoot the arrow over the required distance. Nice huh?

Conclusion

These models are a testament to the creative spirit at Simcenter Amesim. While we are committed to creating the most accurate and reliable simulations for our clients, we also enjoy pushing the boundaries and exploring the possibilities.

So, as the world unites to appreciate the spirit of sportsmanship, let’s also revel in the thrill of the unexpected. Whether you’re a professional athlete or a sports enthusiast, we hope these unique models bring a fresh perspective to your sports-viewing experience. Stay tuned for more intriguing models, and until then, let’s keep the spirit of friendly competition alive!

With one of the largest sports events ending this month, all eyes are still on the athletes who give their…

[1
[45824
post-59807","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-news
["GET
