Back from the European Vehicle Conference

By antoine_dozolme

Have you heard the news? Our last European Vehicle Performance Engineering Conference, held in Munich April 15-16 2015 was a success. Why? Because of our enthusiastic, high-skilled and trustful users.

Our conference featured presentations by experts in automotive, supplier and ground vehicle industries. These informative, educational sessions showcase how our automotive
solutions can help you make smarter decisions about your business and build better products. As per the word of some users we met during the 2 days, this event is a big opportunity to learn more about automotive simulation and testing.

Munich_Conference-04.pngThe event gathered around 270 attendees over 2 days.  The conference kicked off with 3 visionary keynote presentations. First Dipl.-Ing. Bruno Seufert, Senior manager for chassis durability and vehicle load data for Daimler AG, shared his vision on durability assessment in vehicle development, and what are the challenges and next steps. Then, Toru Matsui, Head of digital vehicle development and CAE methodology development for ride comfort, vehicle dynamics and NVH for Nissan, exposed his vision on secure vehicle performance development by adopting full coverage model-based design process. Finally, Al Peasland, head of technical partnerships for Infiniti Red Bull Racing at their Formula One operation introduced his view on the use of Siemens PLM at Infiniti Red Bull Racing and how high performance PLM solutions are delivering success on track.

Auto-conference-2015-09_Dirk.pngDr. Jan Leuridan, Chief Executive Officer, and Dirk Van den Berghen, Chief Operations Officer of Siemens Industry Software NV also shared their visions on how to address tomorrow’s complex engineering issues associated with intelligent systems design. During the rest of the conference, attendees had the choice to select between the 4 technical tracks with more than 50 presentations, covering durability, fuel economy, acoustics, driving dynamics, noise and vibration, and a choice of dedicated workshops.

Sharing experiences and vision was the key element of these two days, with many dedicated spaces to learn more on LMS products and solutions. Visiting the booth area and user corner highlighting the latest capabilities of our simulation and testing solutions, exchanging ideas during the evening diner, or diving deeper into product knowledge during the advanced workshop were also at the menu of our users-oriented event.

You can still learn on this conference even if you did not attend.
