Realize LIVE 2025 – Detroit
We had a great start to Realize LIVE with a 2025 Detroit Grand Prix win from the Siemens-sponsored No. 27 AWS Honda IndyCar, driven by Kyle Kirkwood. Excitement was in the air! Realize LIVE welcomed over 3,000 innovators and an agenda of 450+ sessions around design, manufacturing, and lifecycle management. Digital manufacturing topics in focus included part manufacturing, part and assembly process planning, manufacturing operations, quality, factory layout, simulation, virtual commissioning, logistics, data analytics, product sustainment, and aftermarket service. The takeaway from sessions around these topics? They all drive home the importance of a comprehensive digital twin that threads together data in context, when it’s needed.
Digital Manufacturing – Teamcenter Service Lifecycle Management (SLM)

In their session, Transforming Product Support with Data-driven Strategies, Tyler Opfar, Senior Product Engineer, The Boeing Company, and Brian Johnsen, Siemens, presented the details on how a strategic approach to data can revolutionize the way organizations manage Logistics Product Data (LPD) to optimize the service lifecycle. They discussed the value of a connected data ecosystem and how the Siemens Teamcenter PSDM Export Application enables seamless data transfer, improves collaboration, and drives informed decision-making throughout the supply chain.

Siemens Torsten Beste and Salesforce’s Rajani Sinha, Global Lead for Automotive Strategy, hosted a session specific to growth via agent-driven processes. They explored the value of connected Teamcenter PLM and Salesforce CRM with embedded AI to accelerate service lifecycle processes from planning to execution. Customer stories highlighted digitalization through a comprehensive digital twin with a customer focus to help grow business and help achieve sustainability goals.

In the Innovator’s Xcelerator insights: more with less –better. faster. greener session, Optime Subsea’s John Pastor, VP Enterprise Architecture, with Siemens Brian Johnsen and Chris Piela, delivered insights around Product & Service Lifecycle Management using Siemens Teamcenter, NX, and Mendix solutions that enable a digital twin to enhance product design and maintenance agility, improve cross-process collaboration, accelerate product realization, and ensure superior quality while minimizing environmental impact and human safety risk. John showcased how Optime Subsea became an innovation-as-a-service powerhouse, offering engineered-to-order products & services in a change-resistant industry.
And finally, Siemens hosted a Teamcenter Service Lifecycle Management hands-on training session instructed by Trevor Bengtsson that included deployment best practices, product demonstrations to show what’s new, and solution insights.

Throughout the event, from main stage presentations, customer forums, industry and solution sessions to conversations with customers and innovators, one thing became very clear: digital manufacturing is no longer optional it’s essential in achieving digitalization success.
