{"id":1042,"date":"2014-06-30T11:15:34","date_gmt":"2014-06-30T18:15:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.plm.automation.siemens.com\/t5\/Polarion-Blog\/Morris-Medical-Monday-Polarion-MedPack-Work-Item-Workflows-Part\/ba-p\/380873"},"modified":"2026-03-26T05:33:57","modified_gmt":"2026-03-26T09:33:57","slug":"morris-medical-monday-polarion-medpack-work-item-workflows-part-3-of-3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.sw.siemens.com\/polarion\/morris-medical-monday-polarion-medpack-work-item-workflows-part-3-of-3\/","title":{"rendered":"Morris Medical Monday: Polarion MedPack Work Item Workflows (Part 3 of 3)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Welcome back to Morris Medical Monday: a weekly series for medical device development companies (and companies who are related to such companies), providing some useful information about <A href=\"http:\/\/www.polarion.com\/products\/index.php\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">Polarion solutions<\/A> and <A href=\"http:\/\/extensions.polarion.com\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">Polarion extensions<\/A>.<\/p>\n<p>Today we will continue on the subject of Polarion&#8217;s <A href=\"http:\/\/extensions.polarion.com\/extensions\/31-polarion-alm-medpack-iec-62304\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">MedPack extension<\/A>, and have a look into MedPack&#8217;s Work Item Workflows.<!--more--><br \/>\n<H2>Standard Workflows<\/H2><br \/>\nAccording to the table in <A href=\"http:\/\/blog.polarion.com\/morris-medical-monday-polarion-medpack-work-item-workflows-part-1-of-3\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">Part 1<\/A> of this&nbsp;post, four standard workflows can be identified for all work items in MedPack.<br \/>\n<H4>Verification Workflow<\/H4><br \/>\nThe verification workflow is valid for all work items which are planned and created by the manufacturer and therefore have a verification phase.<\/p>\n<p><A href=\"http:\/\/community.plm.automation.siemens.com\/legacyfs\/online\/siemensplm_blogs\/2014\/05\/VerificationWorkflow_Overview.png\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\"><IMG class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-5686\" src=\"http:\/\/community.plm.automation.siemens.com\/legacyfs\/online\/siemensplm_blogs\/2014\/05\/VerificationWorkflow_Overview.png\" alt=\"VerificationWorkflow_Overview\" width=\"314\" height=\"50\" \/><\/A><br \/>\n<H4>Evaluation Workflow<\/H4><br \/>\nThe evaluation workflow is valid for all work items which creation and adaption is not under the full control of the manufacturer and therefore do not have a verfication, but an evaluation phase. Also, there is no creation phase.<\/p>\n<p><A href=\"http:\/\/community.plm.automation.siemens.com\/legacyfs\/online\/siemensplm_blogs\/2014\/05\/EvaluationWorkflow_Overview.png\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\"><IMG class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-5687\" src=\"http:\/\/community.plm.automation.siemens.com\/legacyfs\/online\/siemensplm_blogs\/2014\/05\/EvaluationWorkflow_Overview.png\" alt=\"EvaluationWorkflow_Overview\" width=\"222\" height=\"50\" \/><\/A><br \/>\n<H4>Feedback Workflow<\/H4><br \/>\nThe feedback workflow is an extended evaluation workflow with an optional creation phase. Some information might have it&#8217;s origin outside of the defined processes, but could also be created inside of them. Therefore, these items might, but not neccessarily have to have a creation phase.<\/p>\n<p><A href=\"http:\/\/community.plm.automation.siemens.com\/legacyfs\/online\/siemensplm_blogs\/2014\/05\/FeedbackWorkflow_Overview.png\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\"><IMG class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-5688\" src=\"http:\/\/community.plm.automation.siemens.com\/legacyfs\/online\/siemensplm_blogs\/2014\/05\/FeedbackWorkflow_Overview.png\" alt=\"FeedbackWorkflow_Overview\" width=\"314\" height=\"50\" \/><\/A><br \/>\n<H4>Full Workflow<\/H4><br \/>\nThe full workflow is used for all things that are created and need some kind of execution.
