Organizations, big and small, have been forced to redesign, delay, and sometimes cancel profitable projects simply because they couldn\u2019t find the necessary materials. Many companies are now overhauling their entire sourcing systems to create more resilient systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I\u2019m your host, Steph Chavez, a Senior Product Marketing Manager with Siemens. I\u2019m a senior printed circuit engineer with three decades of experience and have spent the past 12 years as a Principal Engineer and global subject matter expert of PCB design for Collins Aerospace (Raytheon Technologies).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Now, in my current role as a Senior Product Marketing Manager with Siemens, my focus is on PCB design best practices and thought leadership. As a IPC Certified Master Instructor Trainer (MIT) for PCB design, an IPC Certified Advanced PCB Designer (CID+), and a Certified Printed Circuit Designer (CPCD), I\u2019m also chairman of the Printed Circuit Engineering Association (PCEA) where my focus is on the continuous improvement, professional development, and the evolution of the printed circuit engineer throughout the industry. An active IPC member since 2003, I\u2019m currently involved in several subcommittees including specifications IPC-6012, IPC-2221\/2222 and have been featured as a subject matter expert PCB design by PCEA, IPC, and several leading industry publications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I\u2019m glad to be joined by Chad Jackson, Chief Analyst and CEO of Lifecycle Insights, a company delivering research and thought leadership guidance to engineering executives.
