Enhancements are also introduced in key areas of active development, such as lattices and modeling on general bodies. The release includes new modeling and application support features.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:100px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-9d6595d7 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"506\" height=\"521\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.sw.siemens.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2025\/07\/vertex_matching_along_guide_wires.gif\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1483\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Surfacing<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>In this release, Parasolid can report additional information on surfaces: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Extensions as a result of a modeling operation \u2013 based on this information, the application can choose whether to create its own extended surface instead of the one created by Parasolid<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Whether b-geometry is a helical curve or surface<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Additionally, more intuitive control over the shape of lofts is introduced \u2013 the shape of a lofted body can be controlled by vertex matching along guide wires<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-9d6595d7 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Blending<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>In this release, support is extended for constant-width blends: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Re-blending of constant-width blends in face change operations<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Includes complex configurations, such as overflows<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>constant-width blend can have a G2 cross-section<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"546\" height=\"555\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.sw.siemens.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2025\/07\/reblend_cwb.gif\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1478\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-9d6595d7 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"527\" height=\"411\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.sw.siemens.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2025\/07\/facet_frames_trimmed_c-1.gif\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1480\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Faceting and rendering<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Parasolid supports the generation of a mesh of polygonal planar facets to represent the faces of an accurate part, for use in visualization, rendering and simulation. Enhancements in this release include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Improved precision when faceting blends<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Output of polyline data for edges when faceting<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Finer application control and improved performance of faceting for embedded rod and ball lattices<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Support for the visualization of standalone implicit pattern lattices<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-9d6595d7 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Operations on general bodies<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Parasolid supports the creation and editing of general bodies, that can consist of a combination of manifold, non-manifold, cellular and mixed-dimension parts, allowing to bring virtually any 3D design concept to life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In this release, more complex modeling operations are supported for:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Regions of a general body that are locally manifold &#8211; blending, face replacement, clash repairment during face replacement and local operations on faces<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cellular bodies &#8211; edge imprint, sectioning, extreme points calculation and blend identification<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cellular bodies with embedded lattices &#8211; extension of a sheet body to the target cellular body<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"419\" height=\"457\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.sw.siemens.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2025\/07\/guised_imprint.gif\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1470\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-9d6595d7 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"580\" height=\"524\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.sw.siemens.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2025\/07\/slicing_embedded_ipl.gif\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1479\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Lattices<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>In this release, modeling support on lattices is extended:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Cellular bodies containing implicit pattern lattices\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Slicing and enlarging<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Calculating the mass properties and local density of the sub-topology<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Embedded lattices\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Parasolid will return a manifold body if possible when imprinting a frame onto a region<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Containment calculation \u2013 it is possible to choose whether the points are considered to be inside the body when anywhere within a latticed region or when only inside the latticed material of the region<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Modeling support<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Several enhancements have been introduced to support modeling operations: C2 curves can be generated when using arc-length parameterization, boxing functionality can return axis-aligned boxes for regions and shells and applications can now control whether to check for missing geometry &#8211; useful for interoperability workflows.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Application support<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Enhancements in application support include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Multiple part files can be transmitted where the parts include instances that belong to more than one assembly and have a common part<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tracking information for sets of patterned faces and their original input faces<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Python binding &#8211;
