PADS Logic Isn’t Going Away

By Jim Martens

Do you need to do more with your schematic? Are you frustrated with PADS Logic? It’s time to take a fresh look at a front-end layout tool that enables complete PCB design creation.

You can use DxDesigner for its many strengths, including:

  • Ease of use
  • Easy to learn
  • Tightly integrated with PADS layout

Take a look as I tell you more about the relationship between PADS Logic and DxDesigner, and the benefits to make the transition to DxDesigner 7.9.4.

  • I’m working with another university and I have the PADS VX.2.1 but they are using PADs Logic. Do we have some trouble if share documents? If is it Yes. How could we solve it.

  • This may have been answered, but I did not find a post that addressed it directly. What is the status of PADS Logic? Will Logic be supported for use in current/future designs?

  • You have a couple of options. 1 – If you have one of the PADS Suites or DX Designer, you will also have a license for PADS Logic, so you could do your schematic work in that tool as well. Or, we have a very solid translator from PADS Logic to DX Designer (but note – you cannot go back from DX to PADS Logic).
