With Artificial Intelligence making waves in almost every industry, it’s no surprise that AI is impacting manufacturing. News arrives daily of new AI-based capabilities for manufacturing and Engineering.com has posted an article<\/a> discussing the new AI Make Machining Suggestion (AI MMS) capability available in NX X Manufacturing<\/a>. In the new article, Alba discusses how this powerful new capability utilizes artificial intelligence to propose multiple machining solutions to a given scenario. The underlying technology uses generative AI to make personalized machining suggestion based on your historical machining data. However, the focus is definitely on how AI can help manufacturers perform their job responsibilities better. As Michael Taesch, Senior Director of Part Manufacturing at Siemens said back in September, \u201cWe\u2019re not here to replace the manufacturing engineer. We want to give him multiple processes, and it\u2019s up to him to pick the right one based on his knowledge.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This new capability was also recently highlighted at CES<\/a> where Roland Busch discussed the technology in his keynote address with Jay Parikh, Core AI Team Lead at Microsoft. The two discussed how AI helps customers like Rolls Royce improve the efficiency of their manufacturing operations to a large degree. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
