The annual \u201cCAMFest\u201d<\/STRONG> training week for our partners and Siemens PLM Software sales teams was held January 18 \u2013 22 at our offices in Cypress, Calif.  CAMFest is an opportunity for these teams to learn about the new and exciting capabilities in NX 11 for Manufacturing software which will be available to customers later this year. Developers, product managers, and field people put a range of software through its paces and prepare for launch.<\/P><\/p>\n

\u201cI think all of the attendees look forward to the yearly CAMFest event \u2013 I know I do.  Not only are we learning all about the new software updates, but we have a great group of CAM enthusiasts and experts from all over that tell stories and trade tips and best practices. It is great to share the week with all of these folks, and then go back to the office ready to deliver and support the latest and greatest software,\u201d said Uwe Roosz, Janus Engineering.<\/P><\/p>\n

CAMFest was first conceived nearly two decades ago as an intense training week for training and help desk support teams, to ensure those customers\u2019 questions were correctly answered as new software shipped out.But it quickly grew to include sales support teams from all over who wanted to be included in the information-rich sessions. And because these application engineers each represent many different customer environments and situations, the software gets a very thorough exposure to hundreds of potential user scenarios.  It is the very definition of synergy!<\/P><\/p>\n

Was it worth the trip?  Uwe Roosz\u2019 feedback was typical. \u201cIt is well worth the trip and time spent \u2013 in fact I would not miss it!  I\u2019ll be here again next year, I\u2019m sure.\u201d<\/P><\/p>\n
