Demonstration: Unlock Multi-function Machine Capabilities with NX CAM

Learn how to leverage NX CAM’s advanced capabilities to program the latest multi-function machines, capable of turning, milling and drilling. By combining multiple technologies, you can machine complete parts in one setup.

Discover the latest enhancement to NX CAM’s complete range of programming tools for mill-turn machines, including turning, 3-axis milling, 3+2 positional milling and full 5-axis milling. The interactive and visual tools allow you to easily synchronize and optimize the machining sequence across multiple channels, while automatically tracking the in-process workpiece (IPW). Using the G-code simulation in NX CAM, you can validate the programs to eliminate errors on the shop floor. Join this session to learn about NX CAM’s major enhancements that will help you take a full advantage of your multi-function machines.

Learning Objectives:

  • Increase productivity and proficiency with current/future software

  • Optimize the use of existing software

  • Learn new and exciting product featuresEwe.jpgUwe Edlinger

Demonstration: High-volume Part Production: When Every Second Counts

NX Machining Line Planner capabilities enables manufacturers to efficiently program a high-volume CNC machining of complicated parts with many features. Machining Line Planner, combined with integrated NX CAM software, enables distribution, balancing, and programming of operations over multiple setups and machines. This integrated solution allows bi-directional change management between programming and line planning. Accurately simulate and validate the process using the digital twin of the machine line in NX. You can output complete shop documentation to ensure that the right info is available at each step of the production. Join this session to see how you can optimize each step of high-volume production, resulting in huge productivity gains.

Learning Objectives:

  • Bring awareness and clarity to business challenges

  • Increase productivity and proficiency with current/future software

  • Learn new and exciting product features

Breakout Session: Gain Productivity with NX Open CAM Automation

NX CAM can be used to drive efficient end-to-end part manufacturing. However, the user input is essential and critical since he must provide to NX the features to machine, the number of setups, the position and orientation of the CAD model in each of those setups, etc., which can lead to multiple user errors. The NXOpen CAM automation that we have developed completely replaces the contribution of the user. The latter needs only to specify the Blank and the CAD model. The automation will find the optimal number of setups, the list of tools and operations as well as the time needed to manufacture the CAD from the Blank. The automation generates also the G-Code and the Shop Documentation. Using that NXOpen tool will transform your part manufacturing business to gain productivity and increase profitability.

Learning Objectives:

  • Identify solutions to meet business challenges

  • Increase productivity and proficiency with current/future software

  • Optimize the use of existing software
