Note the difference between the two NX editions below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">NX Academic Edition<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/resources.sw.siemens.com\/en-US\/fact-sheet-nx-academic-edition\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">NX Academic Edition<\/a> has the same features and capabilities as traditional commercial NX CAD\/CAM\/CAE software, but also includes the functionality to open files from NX Student Edition. It is available to accredited academic institutions such as universities,. technical colleges, trade schools and high schools. If you are an educator interested in becoming part of the Siemens Academic Partner Program and access to free NX Academic Edition licenses for your school, please apply for an&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.sw.siemens.com\/en-US\/academic\/academic-partner-grant\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Academic partner grant<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">NX Student Edition<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/trials.sw.siemens.com\/en-US\/trials\/nx-cad-cam-student-edition\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">NX Student <\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/trials.sw.siemens.com\/en-US\/trials\/nx-cad-cam-student-edition\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Edition <\/a>is a free NX CAD\/CAM\/CAE download from Siemens Digital Industries Software available online. It includes comprehensive NX 3D design tools and a full suite of NX CAM programming tools. The NX Student Edition is intended for students and life-long learners to learn NX. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Limitations:<\/strong> It is only available for Windows 64-bit. Watermarks are added to data to prevent NX Student Edition being used for commercial work, and you cannot open files from NX Student Edition in a commercial edition of NX. CAM data is not available for post-processing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-layout-flex wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link has-cyan-background-color has-background wp-element-button\" href=\"https:\/\/trials.sw.siemens.com\/en-US\/trials\/nx-cad-cam-student-edition\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Download NX Student Edition<\/strong><\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">NX Student Day 2024<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The annual NX Student Day will return in October 2024. Students can access Siemens Xcelerator Academy courses for free through verifying their account using SheerID.
