We&#8217;re incredibly proud to announce that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bac-mono.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Briggs Automotive Company (BAC) <\/a>are moving to the <a href=\"https:\/\/xcelerator.siemens.com\/global\/en.html\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/xcelerator.siemens.com\/global\/en.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Siemens Xcelerator<\/a> portfolio. Developed with both the track and the road in mind, The BAC Mono&#8217;s naturally aspirated 2.5 liter powertrain develops 311hp; incredible punch for a car that weighs 570kg!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>What&#8217;s more, when you combine this with their optimal weight distribution and lightweight structure, the Mono can reach 60 mph in 2.7 seconds; pretty impressive! Interestingly, this isn&#8217;t enough for the BAC team, who are looking at ways in which they can improve for their next-generation vehicle. The ever changing demands of BAC&#8217;s consumer base led to senior management re-evaluating they key vehicle development technologies.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-text-color has-alpha-channel-opacity has-background is-style-dots\" style=\"background-color:#00e6e6;color:#00e6e6\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Solving the challenge of homologation<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-9d6595d7 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>A key challenge facing BAC is the need to serve a global customer base, ensuring their vehicles comply with different regulatory and safety standards in different regions. These regions have different regulations on a range of elements for a car, such as positional requirements, sight lines and headlights. It&#8217;s essential for the BAC team to have a software package that enables flexible design and customization, enabling the design team to design with greater efficiency.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><em><strong>The great advantage of Designcenter is that it allows us to build that entire regulatory framework directly into our 3D CAD model, giving us new levels of confidence and a greater speed of development.\u201d<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Ian Briggs, design director and co-founder, BAC<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-text-color has-alpha-channel-opacity has-background is-style-dots\" style=\"background-color:#00e6e6;color:#00e6e6\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The importance of customer experience with Immersive Design<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-9d6595d7 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>We live in a world where customers can access more brands than at any point in the past, leading to a higher expectation throughout their buying experience. This is something BAC placed at the center of the technological revolution; their customers expect a high level of customization to suit their needs, a difficult feat to balance against production costs. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Not anymore.
