Future Engineer Series<\/H1>
At the PACE<\/A> Annual Forum, Team 7 competed with their Personal Assisted Mobility Device<\/A>– the E7-Trike. Team 7 had student engineers from Politecnico di Torino<\/A>, Tongji University, and Technion Israel Institute of Technology.

Their design was inspired by a Swiss army knife. They wanted a compact design with functional parts that fold up on the side of the device and rotate out when needed. For engineering, they focused on device stability, suspension and frame strength through stress analysis.

Meet Sergio Sciume from Politecnico di Torino. He shares his impression of PACE, the PAMD competition and collaborating with cohorts at universities around the world.

Sergio and his colleagues noted that one of the NX command that came in handy for their PAMD was holes. They had threaded holes and conical pins. The holes had to be centered to the pins.
