{"id":2480,"date":"2011-05-02T10:08:32","date_gmt":"2011-05-02T17:08:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.plm.automation.siemens.com\/t5\/Siemens-PLM-Corporate-Blog\/Storms-in-Alabama\/ba-p\/334656"},"modified":"2026-03-26T11:20:31","modified_gmt":"2026-03-26T15:20:31","slug":"storms-in-alabama","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.sw.siemens.com\/news\/storms-in-alabama\/","title":{"rendered":"Storms in Alabama"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><P>I\u2019m heading out of Huntsville, Al on my way to PLM Connection today.&nbsp; You have likely heard about the<A href=\"http:\/\/blogs.wsj.com\/dispatch\/2011\/05\/01\/alabama-fatalities-steady-at-250\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\"> severe storms<\/A> that ripped through the south east the last few days and I\u2019ve been hopping around the state catching up with family.&nbsp; Tuscaloosa, where my daughter lives was hit very hard. The University of Alabama is fine but the city was hit hard.&nbsp; Here is the Krispy Kreme Donut shop where we would always get donuts on the way out of town.<BR \/><BR \/><IMG class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-5721\" src=\"http:\/\/community.plm.automation.siemens.com\/legacyfs\/online\/wordpress\/images\/2011\/05\/ScreenHunter_01-May.-01-11.11.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"450\" height=\"300\" \/><BR \/><BR \/><!--more-->The Madison county area was hit hard too.&nbsp; This is where Solid Edge is developed and the facilities and basically the entire city of Huntsville are still without power.
