Among the advantages of Teamcenter, Ron pointed to the Office integration with familiar authoring tools; the service oriented architecture (SOA) that allows communications to the plant floor; and the inspection specifications that are generated, not created.

For the military side of the business, including the develeopment of Humvee vehicles, the Teamcenter use includes requirements, community collaboration, simulation and schedule management. Security is a greater concern, and in addition to the benefits of Teamcenter seen on the commercial side, Teamcenter also preserves the view and creation formats. Teamcenter’s trace link relation logic also allows for validation, which is critical for the military business.

A full size model of Humvee is in the vendor exhibition area!!!

Day 2 at PLM Connection in Las Vegas: I’m here listening to Ron Adams of AM General deliver the keynote presentation in the Teamcenter general session, “Teamcenter Requirements Management on the Uni…

[1
["post-1800","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-news
["GET
