{"id":1142,"date":"2011-10-17T03:04:51","date_gmt":"2011-10-17T10:04:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.plm.automation.siemens.com\/t5\/Siemens-PLM-Corporate-Blog\/Introducing-NX8\/ba-p\/334773"},"modified":"2026-03-26T11:05:26","modified_gmt":"2026-03-26T15:05:26","slug":"introducing-nx8","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.sw.siemens.com\/news\/introducing-nx8\/","title":{"rendered":"Introducing NX8"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><P>Today,&nbsp;Siemens PLM is proud to announce NX 8.&nbsp; The latest release of our fully integrated computer-aided design, manufacturing, and&nbsp;engineering analysis (CAD\/CAM\/CAE) solution.<BR \/><BR \/><IFRAME width=\"425\" height=\"355\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/v\/3IMpVtUXhHs\"><\/IFRAME><BR \/><BR \/>Enhancements to NX include:<BR \/><UL><BR \/>\t<LI>Product design includes more powerful and efficient modeling, drafting and validation solutions along with expanded HD3D support for better design decisions.&nbsp; New \u201cpart modules\u201d technology simplifies modeling and editing of complex designs, allowing users to subdivide designs into functional elements that support concurrent development by multiple designers.&nbsp;<\/LI><BR \/>\t<LI>NX CAM enhancements for machinery and heavy equipment extend existing CAD\/CAM, programming automation, and integrated machine tool simulation capabilities with new automated, context-specific functions to simplify the generation of smart tool paths for prismatic parts.<\/LI><BR \/>\t<LI><SPAN style=\"font-family: Arial\">NX 8 for simulation offers new solutions for optimization and multi-physics analysis.&nbsp;<\/SPAN><SPAN style=\"font-family: Arial\">along with new methods for analyzing complex assemblies. Enhancements to NX Nastran include improvements in nonlinear and dynamic analysis, as well as increases in computational performance and modeling ease-of-use.
