JT Open Program members support JT for supplier collaboration

The JT Open Program Supplier Collaboration Work Group was started with the following charter:

To improve product development efficiency throughout the global supply chain by leveraging JT to improve the exchange and interoperability of data.

Members of the group include industry professionals from leading corporations, software suppliers and Academia including: Daimler, Boeing, Siemens PLM, Ford, Airbus, Delphi, Elysium, ATK, ITI, Technical University Darmstadt, Theorem and Purdue University

Follow this blog to learn more about the efforts in industry to make use of JT for supplier collaboration. To set the baseline The JT Open Program’s Supplier Collaboration and Data Exchange work group have prepared a white paper in support of their charter statement. (Download from the link below)

The high level goals for this paper are; to define business drivers that answer the question of “why is JT the format of choice for collaboration and data exchange between OEM’s and suppliers”, validate/contrast automotive JT use with aerospace JT use, assess the benefits of using standards in this domain and finally to review the data requirements and how they are supported in existing tools.
