These updates deliver greater usability, accuracy, and integration to accelerate your electronic systems design verification and optimization. Let’s explore the highlights.

Schematic Analysis: Clarity and efficiency at your fingertips

With the new release, finding Form, Fit, and Function (FFF) alternative models for BOM parts is now streamlined through the integration of Supplyframe data. Enable online library access and Alternative Part Search to instantly discover functionally equivalent parts that are functionally equivalent —even if the part numbers differ—helping maintain simulation fidelity despite sourcing constraints.

Another new feature when launching schematic analysis from Designer has been improved to automatically resolve missing model properties for passive and connector components by leveraging external data, reducing manual model creation effort and ensuring completeness.
Two new tests have been introduced for increased design coverage:

Open-Drain Resistor of High-Value: Flags resistors above 10 kΩ pulling up open-drain/collector outputs to prevent EMI and timing issues.

Off-Board Input Detection: Warns when a net has only outputs and a connector pin but lacks an input pin, prompting validation of off-board receivers.

Finally, understanding schematic test results has never been easier. HyperLynx now includes an integrated test description guide accessible with a simple right-click on any test or result line—complete with diagrams and remediation advice. This eliminates guesswork and accelerates troubleshooting.
Note: The exciting new schematic analysis features require updated licensing, with automatic migration and download available via Support Center.

HyperLynx AMS: Embracing co-simulation and optimization

HyperLynx AMS now supports the Functional Mock-Up Interface (FMI) standard, enabling co-simulation interoperability with over 250 tools—including Amesim, FLOEFD, HEEDS, and Altair PSIM. Import or export Functional Mock-Up Units (FMUs) to extend simulation horizons.

The second major feature introduced in the new release is the integration with HyperLynx Design Space Exploration (DSE) brings powerful optimization capabilities directly into AMS. DSE can be invoked from HyperLynx AMS 2510 in two ways:

Exported directly to the DSE environment, accessing the full capabilities of the DSE user interface.

Using the simplified integrated DSE wizard in the HyperLynx AMS environment for a fast and streamlined setup process.

HyperLynx DRC: Smarter verification and enhanced automation

The new Batch Creepage Wizard reads Xpedition constraints or CSV files to automate large-scale creepage analysis, with results visualized in the board viewer alongside detailed reports—dramatically speeding up compliance verification.

HLDRC now automatically imports constraint and user-defined areas from Xpedition and Allegro layouts, allowing rule checks to be scoped exactly where needed. Keep-out regions are similarly recognized, letting you exclude areas from verification, which significantly speeds up the automated checking of larger and denser PCBS.

Python scripting is now supported natively on both Windows and Linux, aligning HLDRC with HL SI/PI for consistent automation.

Finally, Enhanced rule parameters reduce false violations in sensor net isolation and in-group spacing checks. Plus, import defects involving Xpedition user layers have been corrected for smoother workflows.

Signal Integrity: Organize, preview, and verify with confidence

The introduction of Enhanced Grouping capability allows users to reduce screen clutter and achieve a more organized schematic. Groups can be automatically organized by non-IC components, Connected Transmission Lines, group by individual nets, or coupling nets, giving you unparalleled control over your design view. You can also manually create and customize your groups

Whether you are starting a design in LineSim or exporting nets from BoradSim, this functionality gives you unparallel control over your design. Once created, groups behave like any other symbol, allowing easy manipulation, ungrouping, and the ability to directly generate S-parameter models directly from your grouped schematic.

The SI Preview Wizard offers a fast, pulse-response based simulation to quickly evaluate interface performance—without the need for detailed device models.
