These platforms have substantial and ever-growing electronic content, which leads to complex electrical distribution systems within. The rise of electric and autonomous vehicles, certification needs as well as increased safety measures compound the challenges of design. Capital Logic Designer may be used to design subsystems and to accomplish interactive system integration, i.e. the merging of multiple subsystems into the physical vehicle structure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Capital Logic Designer is more than a schematic design tool, it provides a foundation for a  complete electrical design flow: from logical concept design through to harness design using <a href=\"https:\/\/plm.sw.siemens.com\/en-US\/capital\/products\/capital-wiring-harness-designer\/\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/plm.sw.siemens.com\/en-US\/capital\/products\/capital-wiring-harness-designer\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Capital Harness Designer<\/a>. Here are some other important features:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Project and process management<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Naming conventions, design rule checks, customer options and variants and diagram style-templates can be defined and automatically applied using Capital Logic Designer. Process constraints such as release management sequence, design locking, user permissions and component naming can be mandated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Design change management<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Multiple change management capabilities are provided the tool, such as tabular and graphical difference reports, version management, compatibility control (\u201cbuild lists\u201d) and aerospace-effectivity tracking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">MCAD integration<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Capital Logic Designer provides deep integration with leading mechanical computer-aided design\u00a0(MCAD) platforms (including Siemens NX). Parts libraries can be shared with other systems and with other companies such as suppliers or customers. A variety of interfaces support intelligent management of design data exchange with other tools.
