Swedish electric airplane maker Heart Aerospace, with the mission to create the world\u2019s greenest, most affordable and most accessible form of transport, has selected Capital\u2122 software (part of the Siemens Xcelerator portfolio of software and services) to support its design, development, and certification of zero emission electric aircraft<\/a>. Siemens\u2019 Capital will provide electrical and electronic (E\/E) system design and support as Heart Aerospace addresses the market and regulatory demands of escalating performance and commercial certification requirements.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The mission is guided by the idea that electric air travel will become the new normal for regional flights and can be transformational in addressing the industry\u2019s key sustainability challenges. In order to do this, Heart Aerospace chose Capital to meet both performance and certification requirements needed for a successful competitive edge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Heart Aerospace is developing the ES-30, a regional electric airplane with a standard seating capacity of 30 passengers driven by electric motors with battery derived energy. As part of the extensive electrification of their aircrafts, Heart Aerospace must address the complexity of the Electrical Wiring Interconnect System (EWIS)<\/a> while also addressing electrical system compliance risk. The Capital tool\u2019s strong compliance functionality can help Heart Aerospace to leverage automation and digital data continuity to facilitate faster regulatory compliance. This was a key reason for selecting Capital software from Siemens<\/p>\n\n\n\n
