New color scheme, icons and splash screens provide a unified user interface across the Capital and entire\u00a0Xcelerator\u00a0portfolio<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Furthermore, all products have been renamed according to a scheme that better articulates their intent and scope. <em>Please note there is no change in license part numbers or features, only the product names<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Why now?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Earlier, in September 2019, Siemens PLM Software became Siemens Digital Industries Software. This was  a new identity that reflects our vision to help our industrial customers of all sizes become digital enterprises. Moving on the execution of this vision, we created the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sw.siemens.com\/en-US\/digital-transformation\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Xcelerator portfolio<\/a>. This integrates the technologies and capabilities of Siemens\u2019 products, solutions and services for design, engineering and manufacturing, allowing experts across engineering disciplines to create new products collaboratively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Subsequently in September 2021, we expanded the portfolio with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sw.siemens.com\/en-US\/digital-transformation\/cloud\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Xcelerator as a Service<\/a>. We were able to leverage Cloud technologies to make our solutions more accessible, flexible, and more scalable than ever for maximum productivity in the extended enterprise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What does this mean for you?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>We have been consolidating our offerings and taking feedback from our customer community. And therefore, our next investment has been dedicated to streamline the end-user experience. Along with the changes to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.plm.automation.siemens.com\/global\/en\/products\/capital\/capital.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Capital<\/a> applications and naming come more benefits. VeSys &#8211; NX wiring and harness integration capabilities are now available as part of the standard VeSys licenses, in connected or file-based mode, and enabled with Xcelerator Share Cloud-based services (2021.1 release, November 2021).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>VeSys applications have also been renamed to become the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.plm.automation.siemens.com\/global\/en\/products\/capital\/capital-essentials\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Capital Essentials<\/a> software portfolio. We believe the new names of the applications better articulates their intent and scope:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>VeSys Design will now be known as<a href=\"https:\/\/www.plm.automation.siemens.com\/global\/en\/products\/capital\/capital-essentials\/electrical-design-verification.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> Capital Wiring Designer Essentials<\/a><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>VeSys Harness has become <a href=\"https:\/\/www.plm.automation.siemens.com\/global\/en\/products\/capital\/capital-essentials\/harness-design.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Capital Harness Designer Essentials<\/a><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Teamcenter integration is delivered by the Capital Connector for Teamcenter<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><br>Like all changes, we anticipate there will be a transition period before everyone is fully familiar with the new look and feel of our solutions. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.plm.automation.siemens.com\/global\/en\/contact-us.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Please reach out to us<\/a> or your Customer Services representative if you have any question about <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sw.siemens.com\/en-US\/digital-transformation\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Xcelerator<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sw.siemens.com\/en-US\/digital-transformation\/cloud\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Xcelerator as a Service<\/a> or the new <a href=\"https:\/\/www.plm.automation.siemens.com\/global\/en\/products\/capital\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Capital <\/a>application names.
