Meet Our Community MVP of the Month, Blas Molero for July 2026

This initiative is all about celebrating the incredible individuals who consistently go above and beyond, sharing their wisdom, supporting their peers, and truly making this community a vibrant hub for learning and growth.
For our latest MVP feature, we had the distinct pleasure of sitting down Blas Molero. Blas is a long-time expert in Simcenter, a mentor, and a dedicated Community Catalyst. His profound knowledge and extensive experience have made him an invaluable resource to members across the globe. We’re so excited to share more of his story and insights with you below!
1. Having witnessed the evolution of DISW software products over many years, even before formal communities existed, how have you seen our community grow and transform, and what impact has that had on you?
The Simcenter Community Forum has become incredibly sophisticated, evolving significantly alongside the technology within the Simcenter CAD/CAM/CAE portfolio. Compared to when I started in 1987, we can now design, simulate, and manufacture with remarkable speed, great precision, and excellent product quality. It truly is a whole new world! This transformation has been inspiring to witness and be a part of.
2. Your reputation for knowledge sharing within Siemens Simcenter is well-known. How do you translate that dedication into fostering a supportive and collaborative environment for our community members?
Sharing knowledge has always been a constant in my life. I recall my Machine Design & Strength of Materials teacher at the Engineering School of Bilbao, who gave me a book on Fatigue Analysis with the inscription: “To my friend Blas always learning, always teaching.” It’s a pleasure to help others. I genuinely enjoy the technology, and as a primary user of Simcenter portfolio products, it’s very easy for me to assist others without much effort. It makes me happy, and I see it as a way of contributing to making the world a better, more technologically advanced place!
3. As a Community Catalyst, what drives your passion for educating and empowering fellow engineers, and in what ways has being part of this community enriched your own professional journey?
I believe the passion for learning and utilizing technology is the primary motivation to help others. We have excellent application engineers at Siemens, and I truly appreciate their help when I ask technical questions. I strive to offer the same level of support to my customers when they seek technical assistance or ask questions in the Community Forum. We are all part of a continuous loop: we learn from each other! Being part of this community constantly enriches my own understanding and problem-solving skills.
4. For new and aspiring community members, particularly those just starting their careers in this field, what single piece of advice or encouragement would you offer them?
The best advice I can give is to truly enjoy the technology. To do that, you must become an expert, and that takes time, you have to invest a lot of hours! There’s no magic involved; you need to read extensively, deepen your knowledge without rushing, and tackle complex, real-world projects. That is how you become a professional and begin to genuinely enjoy the technology. It’s a fantastic feeling, so go for it!
5. You mentioned you like Mountain Biking. Tell me about your experience with it and what it has taught you?
Absolutely! Here in Bilbao, where I live, we have a mountain named Pagasarri, which is over 600 meters above sea level with incredibly steep slopes. Climbing it by bike is immensely tough. I’ve learned that you can make it up meter by meter, and that even the most daunting challenges can be overcome if you break them down into small, manageable achievements. This perspective definitely translates to professional challenges; by breaking down complex problems, we can make steady progress and ultimately succeed.
