However, without the ability to see the detailed IP GDS, the designer doesn\u2019t have the polygon information needed to identify the root cause. Opening the GDS separately to analyze the error is time-consuming and just plain annoying.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.sw.siemens.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/50\/2018\/08\/chip-layout.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-1648\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.sw.siemens.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/50\/2018\/08\/chip-layout.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"420\" height=\"354\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The Calibre\u00ae RVE\u2122 interface can make this problem disappear by syncing multiple design environment displays. The Calibre RVE multi-viewer capability can create socket connections between editors such as the Calibre DESIGNrev\u2122 interface, and the Cadence\u00ae Innovus\u2122, Cadence Encounter\u00ae, Synopsys\u00ae IC Compiler\u2122, and Synopsys IC Compiler II tools. For example, using the multi-viewer function, designers can open the full GDS design data in the Calibre DESIGNrev interface and drive dual navigation in both tools from the Calibre RVE environment.
