The pandemic has particularly impacted the education sector, making on-site education and job-related training for students nearly impossible, while the industrial field has seen a surge in digital transformation and innovation during this period.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbnu.ac.kr\/site\/english\/main.do\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Chungbuk National University<\/a> (CBNU) <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbnu.ac.kr\/site\/english\/sub.do?key=1275\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">School of Mechanical Engineering<\/a>, located in the heart of South Korea, has embraced this challenge, integrating Siemens Digital Industries Software solutions, such as <a href=\"https:\/\/plm.sw.siemens.com\/en-US\/simcenter\/systems-simulation\/amesim\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Simcenter\u2122 Amesim\u2122<\/a> software, into its curriculum for on-site job and design education. Students can use Simcenter Amesim in various research and educational activities across multiple laboratories, positioning them as design experts at the forefront of industries such as materials science, aerospace and automotive.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"designing-technology-for-electric-vehicle-battery-cooling\" style=\"font-size:25px\"><strong>Designing technology for electric vehicle battery cooling<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Professor Seok-Ho Rhi\u2019s research team at CBNU is leveraging Simcenter Amesim in undergraduate and graduate design education to create cooling methods for heat pipe cooling systems. Using Simcenter Amesim and its features, such as one-dimensional design technology, enables the team to quickly and optimally design cooling systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"maximizing-efficiency-for-autonomous-electric-vehicles\" style=\"font-size:25px\"><strong>Maximizing efficiency for autonomous electric vehicles<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Graduate students in Professor Jong-Ho Shin\u2019s lab at CBNU have been using Simcenter Amesim to enhance autonomous electric vehicles in their digital design projects. Collaborating with industry stakeholders, policymakers and fellow researchers, the students in Professor KiBum Kim\u2019s lab are contributing to the global push for a clean energy future.
